My mother always had the most amazing jewelry collection. We would sit in front of her large bedroom mirror and arrange her jewelry around us on the ground so that we can look at each one individually. Her favorite piece was her gold hoop earrings that she would wear out with my dad.

I liked to see her so happy and dressed up. My dad never forgot that about her, that she liked to go out so much and even though we all knew what a home body he was, he would always take time out of his life to do something that made my mom so happy.

Birth stones are a tradition that assigns a precious stone to a person’s month of birth in the Gregorian calendar, which is the most widely used calendar in the world.
