Thanks Earrings!

When I was in high school there was one accessory that a teenage girl couldn’t live without – a pair of hoop earrings. These couldn’t be just any earrings; they had to be sterling silver hoop earrings. There was no chance of getting in the popular crowd if you didn’t have these.
I remember the day that I got my first pair of silver hoop earrings. I was at the mall with my mom, who up until that point hadn’t allowed me to wear the beloved accessory, when she told me I could pick out anything I wanted for my birthday. When I came back with the forbidden hoop earrings she just shrugged and paid for them at the register. That year I was the most popular girl in my class. I credit the earrings

There is one piece of jewelry that I have always wanted. It is an intricate vintage blue topaz ring of my great grandmothers. I have wanted to wear this ring ever since the first time I set eyes on it while on my mother’s finger. Too bad great grandma passed the ring down to mom and not me.
Recently someone surprised me, it was my mom. I had a school dance coming up and mom offered to let me wear it! I was shocked and so touched that the started crying then and there. My mom knew how to make me happy, that’s for sure!
Make Shopping A Breeze: Plan In Advance

Some people prefer to shop alone. They refuse to be bothered by other people’s opinions. They know what they want and they will stick to that. There are others who cannot decide on things. They need somebody to push them into buying something they never planned on getting at all.
I went shopping with a friend who wanted a pair of gold hoop earrings. She saw it on TV, actually worn by a celebrity. We went around looking at boxes and boxes of hoop earrings. There were medium and really large ones. The thin ones were not exactly what she was looking for. Finally, she found it. A medium sized loop pair of earrings that looked solid but was actually lightweight. Shopping is a breeze when you know exactly what you want.

Are you shopping for jewelry? Be adventurous. Shop with a friend and don’t be afraid to try everything. Browse the display together. You never know, a second opinion can be useful. Examine the rows of rings. You will find plain ones or more elaborate pieces studded with diamond. An emerald ring for instance can make a perfect accessory to your new evening gown.
Look around some more. There are sapphires and pearls attached to chains. Check out the dangling earrings. Laugh together. Your great big smile will be a nice complement to the piece of jewelry you decided to buy.

Rings come in various materials. Depending on what their purposes will be, the choice is up to the buyer or user. For engagement or wedding rings, 14k yellow gold rings seem ideal. Quality wise, they will prove to be a wise investment. Since a 24k gold ring, being the highest quality of gold, is very expensive, having a 14k yellow gold ring will be a sensible replacement.
Aside from engagement and wedding rings, there are also friendship rings, anniversary rings and practically any ring that will symbolize anything between two people. 14k gold rings will always serve their purpose. In any circumstance, owning a 14k gold ring will always be satisfying and worthwhile for its owner. It really only depends on the taste and needs of a person. As some may say, whatever the case, you will always be a winner.

Most women are fond of jewelry. The most popular pieces of jewelry are made of gold but since yellow gold is expensive, jewelry made from white gold has been widely accepted. A 14k white gold necklace is easily affordable for most women. An 18k white gold is the highest quality of gold. Therefore a 14k white gold necklace is a great buy. As a gift, this is ideal for most men and women for special occasions.
Necklaces vary in their worth and designs. To enhance their beauty and attractiveness, pendants are added. There are a lot of pendants to choose from. But eventually, it is the value of the 14k gold necklace that spells the difference. Choosing to have a 14k gold necklace, whether for personal use or as a gift, will always be a good and wise choice.

Think Out Of The Jewelry ‘Box’

All little girls should have a jewelry box to call their own. Where else will they put all their tiny trinkets and mementos? Creative girls may even want to make their own jewelry box, or at least paint it. If the little girl in your life has a birthday coming up, don’t buy her a one of those decorative jewelry boxes; get her a plain wooden box that she can decorate on her own.
Make sure that when you’re shopping you also stop and pick up some wood paints and brushes. Put the jewelry box along with the paints and brushes into a gift bag for her to open on her special day. For an extra special touch, include a cute pair of earrings, or a necklace in the box.
Times Are A Changin’

Why is that you see so many older women wearing gold rings on every finger? Maybe this is a trend that I just never got wind of because I prefer to wear simple, yet classic pieces of jewelry. My favorite piece of jewelry is a white gold and opal ring that my father gave me. I love the creamy, shimmering white of the opal and the neat shine of the silver backing.
I feel confident in saying that I think many other younger women are like me in that they don’t want to wear gaudy, bulky jewelry. Wearing just one or two pieces of classic jewelry can get you more compliments than 20 cheaply-made gold rings. Many women these days are also gravitating away from traditional gems, like diamonds and pearls, towards rare gems, like opals and emeralds.
